International Women’s Day Rally and film screening

An International Women's Day Rally Friday March 9th at 430pm on the Arkansas State Capitol steps. The rally will be followed by a March and Vigil. Groups participating are Arkansas WAND, the Women's caucus of OLR, AAUW, STAND club of Central High School, Democratic Women and candidates, Planned Parenthood, Women in the Halls, and supporters of the ERA. Film Screening of Pray The Devil Back to Hell on Sat. March 10th at 7pm at the Unitarian Church 1818 Reservoir Road.

Co sponsored with the Pulaski Academy chapter of Amnesty International. The film is about the women of Liberia that worked to end the tribal wars there. Featuring Leymah Gbowee, Nobel Peace Prize winner. A facilitated discussion will follow lead by students from the Clinton School for Public Service. Open to the public.
